Since it's still cold as heck here in Idaho, I chose an image that made me think of Spring. I'm not the hugest fan of spring, all flowers and cutsy things, butterflies and whatnot.... yuck! But since I'm still freezing my are off, why not think of something a little warmer? So, spring it is. Here's my card:
Wanna know how I made this: well here's what I can tell ya..... First I stamped the image (Lulu with Peony) onto Catherine Pooler card stock, then I colored it with Copic Markers. I fussy cut her out, because we all know that's how I love to pass my time. Then.... I fussed about with papers for about 30 minutes before I settled on all of these colors of greens. I cut them in ascending sizes to fit on that 5x5 card base. then I added a piece of beautiful Graphic 45 paper, which you can't really see, because I covered it with Ovals cut out of the same green card stock using stitched dies from Gina Marie Designs. I used foam adhesive squares to adhere Lulu to the ovals and make her pop up a bit. Then, I raided my Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts flower stash to add way too many flowers to this little card. That was fun! I also used a sentiment from CC Designs and embossed it on a piece of scrap white card stock using Nuvo embossing Powder in "Hot Cocoa." I grabbed a sponge dauber and some "Vintage Photo" Distress Oxide Ink to ... well... distress the tag, and adhered it behind the image. Done and done.
If this card doesn't scream spring to you, you need your head checked, just sayin'. I had fun making it, and You'll be seeing lots more images and projects for PND in the future I'm sure. Thanks for stopping by. Tootles!
