Ugh! That's what I have to say. This week has been super challenging. First I was told I had shingles and given medication that I had to take, with food, 5 times a day.... now I know that it is a good thing to eat 5 times a day, but that is a seriously hard thing to do when the medication makes you wanna ralph!!!! So I went back for a second opinion yesterday. To my relief, I was told that I have a pulled muscle in my shoulder/back and it is pinching nerves against my therasic (I don't know how to properly spell that one!) vertebrae. Not a good thing, very painful, but WAYYYYY better than the alternatives. So I was given some Motrin and sent home to rest. ALSO not a good thing since cake orders have been pouring in! That is exciting, but daunting considering this weekend is the wedding that I have been coordinating also. I guess I'll be getting my work outs rolling and kneading fondant! Yeay me! hahahahThis pic is of me helping my son blow out his candles on his cupcake tower last week. Check out those arms... eewww... I seriously need to get to the gym! I have "flags" and I'm not even 30 yet!!!!! Gross!
So, lets get down to the nitty gritty. I started off the week well, eating healthier stuff, making better choices, working out.... but it all crumbled when we went to McDonald's, and that, my friends, is a weakness for me.... hot salty fries, sweet tea that is oozing with sugar.... yummm... I think I'm drooling on my keyboard here....mmmmm.... oh wait, snap to it... where was I? oh yeah... drive thru, so I tried to stay tame and got a 6 piece nugget.... ate a few of my sons fries, and surrendered a nugget to my hubbs...I didn't even finish my sweet tea.... now that's self control. Despite that... the Dr.'s scale said that I weighed 147!!!! Yeay!!! that's 3 lbs from last week!! Maybe McDonald's isn't so bad after all.... well... I'm just trying to brainwash myself... let me live in my fantasy world OK??? geeeze!
So, my goal this week is to not eat too many of the cupcakes that I'm making this weekend, and to try and shed a pound, or 3, more.... With my pulled muscle it is going to be hard to work out... however, after the wedding and maybe a few times before, I plan on taking a walk or something, even if it is just around the block, anything and everything helps.
Wish me luck this weekend, I'm going to need it!
